Use geospacial process information to strengthen frameworks ?

Geospacial information has been used with BPM before (and vice-versa). Look at Oil & Gas or Utilities and they use locational information for pipes, meters etc etc

But has anyone considered using GIS within BPM for business use ?

Asset management ?

Enhancing risk frameworks ?

Process workflow ?

Continuity planning ?

SLA tracking ?

It seems there’s a missing layer of information that geospacial could add a further dimension to inside of a process. It’s being explored right now in a joint Whitepaper I’m putting together with a GIS company in the States. Very exciting time ahead if we truly believe in expanding our horizons through collaboration instead of closing the borders.

Watch this space, I’ll announce the Whitepaper soon.
