Citibank’s “Drive Sales and Word of Mouth Referrals Using Social Media” Seminar Now Available Online

Citibank Small Business today announced that its recent live-streamed event, “Drive Sales and Word of Mouth Referrals Using Social Media,” is now available online.

Citibank held the event in response to its latest small business survey, which revealed that a majority of small business owners are not leveraging social media. The live webcast provided small business owners with an overview of how to harness the power of social media to market and expand their business. Social media expert Brian Solis and celebrity makeup expert Eve Pearl spoke to more than 150 participants — both online and in person — about the role of social media in growing a business.

“Clearly, many small business owners do not yet see the benefits of social media to improving and growing their business,” said Raj Seshadri, the head of Small Business Banking at Citibank. “At Citibank, we’re committed to helping small business owners reach their goals and dreams — and that commitment includes ensuring they are aware of all the resources available to them.”

Solis, one of the original thought leaders who paved the way for Social Media, is co-founder of the Social Media Club and author of “Engage: The Complete Guide for Brands and Businesses to Build, Cultivate, and Measure Success in the New Web.” Pearl is a five-time Emmy Award winning celebrity makeup expert and a contributor to Web sites, magazines, blogs and conferences as a beauty expert and educator. She is a business owner and a longtime Citibank customer. Solis and Pearl provided their insights into best practices for growing a business online. They also shared personal experiences and lesser-known tips.
